The Friends of Silver River State Park

Friends of Silver River are people and businesses that care about the quality of community life in the Ocala/Marion County area.  We are people with diverse interests, but with a common thread - we care about the natural resource we have available in Silver River State Park.

We are bike riders, boaters, equestrians, campers, dog walkers, photographers, hikers, birders, nature enthusiasts, parents and grandparents, schoolchildren, volunteers and business owners. What brings us together is the beauty, recreational value and the expansive ecological variety of Silver River State Park.

We incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 2005. Currently there are 61 members and we look forward to more from our community to join us!
